The beginning of the affair
March 10, 2009

It all started innocently enough.
In 2005 I began a flirtation. Newly back in Australia, after six years in London, with a husband, a one year old and heavily pregnant. I was in serious culture shock.
In an effort to keep my little cherub (with a five minute attention span and a passion for emptying cupboards) entertained, I turned to the internet for ideas. Lets face it, even one idea would’ve been a gift to my sleep deprived brain!
And that was when Kiddley pinched my bottom.
Well that was all it took. Links led to links which led to more links. Before I knew it I’d been swept off my feet by a torrent of passionate blogs. Each day, even after only ten or fifteen minutes, I left my desk feeling stimulated, supported and satisfied!

The blogosphere is such a fascinating and generous place, I had to be part of it.
I’ve spent the last year hatching a plan for Ink Caravan and here it is in its sweet, dimpled infancy. This is where I’ll share my inspirations and explorations and you’ll witness the whole (sometimes bumpy) creative journey through art processes to the resulting works.
My hope is that, here, you too will find passion, inspiration and above all, leave feeling satisfied.

Thanks so much Maryam. I’m thrilled that you found me. I love your beautiful exotic blog, it’s one of the places I loved to visit before I found the courage to start my own blog.
Lisa, you are very welcome. Please take a seat and mind the chickens.
