Apron strings

I don’t believe it! It’s Friday already!! Seems like it’s always down to the wire for me. This illustration, like oh so many before it, will be on Illustration Friday for exactly … ‘UH OH! Did you blink?’ seconds. This one’s for the topic, CAUTION. … Obviously not something displayed by me, ie someone way too tired to be attempting humour. Best I write a little more about it tomorrow. Yep, tomorrow or maybe Sunday… yawn! Nighty night.

Thanks so much for all the gorgeous feedback, it’s such a thrill! : D

Yoon See, in answer to your question ~ It’s a combination of hand painting and digital. I try to keep the digital elements down to a minimum because I like the idiosyncrasies of handmade and it forces me to loosen up and appreciate mucking in, if you know what I mean. : ) The linework is done in indian ink. The background is done in ink on heavyweight paper. And all the elements are combined in Photoshop, where I do some digital painting as well.

Hope that all makes sense, thanks for your interest.

    Really inspiring.
    Love your linework!
Love your colour and pattern used here too.
I don’t study graphic, so I wouldn’t know how the pen line width is different.
    Really beautiful!
Is this a handpainted piece or digital piece?
