Ahhh, Sundays…

I am thinking about my 2010 resolution list and have made a great start on
No.1: Remember to do nothing.
I can plainly see that if I am going to live the happily balanced life I crave, Sunday Slobbing is crucial. And completely obvious to the rest of the sane population who are not trying to squeeze every extra second out of every day to work.
This is my perfect Sunday brekkie, New York Banana Pancakes, oozing with butter, maple syrup and served with slices of nectarine. These were made using a Domestic Goddess recipe… love Nigella! They turned out just as I remembered. Whisking me back to a freezing February morning in New York, crunching through snowy Central Park and stumbling into a cozy diner. I was very pregnant, completely ravenous and the pancakes were sublime. In fact all three of us enjoyed them, I felt fluttery baby kicks for twenty minutes afterward.
Trust me, eat these and lounge about all morning and a good part of the afternoon in your pjs, perusing your favourite magazines and I promise your soul will be restored and your belly, happily round. Hope your weekend was decadent.
Hi Alisa,
It’s been a while. I thought perhaps you’d given up blogging but am happy to find you again.
Hope all is well.
Ingrid
Now I have a name for what I like to do on a Sunday. Sunday Slobbing. I love it.
ooh, yum! that reminds me i said i’d make pancakes on sundays too!
funny that you should mention that tough choice between working on what we love and the essential break! glad you chose a little time out
Those pancakes sound sooo good right now.
Hi Susan, Thought you might like to know those images are in the Jan 2010 The World of Interiors mag. Part of a fab article on the 18th century fort/palace of Maharaja Bakhat Singh in Rajasthan.
Love the photos in the magazine you are looking at – I have been florally obsessed lately.
Mmm… Looks delicious! Now I have a craving!
